Bourges capital of Medival France

Capital of the province of Aquitaine at the end of the Roman Empire, capital of the Kingdom of France in the reign of Charles VII, Bourges carefully maintains its heritage from a glorious past.

World famous Sancerre

Sancerre is a firm fixture in restaurants and wine bars around the world and a trip into its vineyards – only a couple of hours drive from Paris – offers the chance to explore one of the most welcoming regions in France for wine lovers. Sancerre itself is a grand medieval hill town, with dozens of cafes, bistrots and “caves” to taste wine in.

La Cathédrale Linard

A native of La Marche Nièvre, Jean Linard (1931-2010) first exercises burner trade he learned at Ecole Estienne in Paris.

Boasting artistic mastery and ceramic Anne, Jean Linard in 1962 involved the exposure of potters La Borne. His major work is the Cathedral he constructs and carries around his house from the 1980s, profoundly original creation, intimately related to his universe.

Menetou-Salon – C’heu l’Zib

C’heu l’Zib, a traditional famous restaurant in the heart of Menetou-Salon Vineyard. It is on the heights of the village, near the castle, we find the hostel. Inside, an atmosphere of the past reign in the great hall, that of a family home that ignores the passage of time. The decor is decidedly rustic: long wooden tables waxed Berrichon small chairs, lots of pottery (La Borne is not far), oils lamps, baskets, brass and other antiques surround the old wood stove.

La Borne – Bar Le Kilometre

In the village of potters from La Borne, the bar-restaurant Kilometre reopened after several years of closure. New framework to New York accents with its brick wall and new kitchen! The new owners, Aurélie and Benoit have created a friendly place that offers a lot of freedom.


Morogues – Auberge des Pellets

At Morogues, the Auberge de Pellets, in Haute Berry, is located two kilometers from La Borne near Henrichemont and Aix d’Angillon. This Auberge on the edge of the woods Morogues, you will travel out of time. This old farmhouse, formerly a goatfarm, it has kept its soul of yesteryear and all its charm with its stone walls and exposed beams. Nearby you will discover the village of La Borne known for its pottery.
